Hospital Operational Preparedness for Emergencies (HOPE)
A recent increase in the number of incidents of hospital fire has raised serious concerns regarding the safety in hospitals. Moreover, the current pandemic and extreme weather events have questioned the safety and resilience of the hospitals. Many hospitals become dysfunctional post-disaster and critical care wards like dialysis, intensive care units, and cardiac care units get severely affected.
The aim of the course is to strengthen resilience in the hospital through regular capacity building training and exercising, customizing SOPs to minimize life losses, best practices, managing mass casualty incidents techniques, structural and non-structural mitigation measures, setting up of Command and Incident Response system, mockdrills, tabletop exercises etc.
