Hospital Incident Management/Response System (HIMS)

Disasters pose numerous challenges for the hospitals like inefficient response, recovery, coordination issues etc. This exacerbates the situation at times of a disaster. The course aims to underscore the importance of Incident Command System (ICS) and train to facilitate an understanding of Incident Management System in the hospitals to oversee operations, planning, logistics and response, define roles and responsibilities of the hospital staff in pre, during, and post-disaster phase. The underlying outcome of the course is to strengthen and ensure effective coordination and management in every hospital during a disaster or an emergency.
